Mandated Region Values

Values are determined by using the Issuer Country plus the Acquirer Country (if available) otherwise the Merchant Country is used as a fallback. An additional flag must be enabled within the Compliance Manager application. Please consult your VCAS representative to confirm your eligibility for this feature.

For MasterCard transactions, the Merchant country is used, as the Acquirer Country code is not available.

For Visa transactions, only the Acquirer country will be used, as the Acquirer Country code is not available.

Mandated Regions are currently not supported by other card brands and will be set to UNKNOWN.

Value	Description
EEA	Both the issuer and Acquirer/Merchant are in the EEA.
NONE	Either the issuer or Acquirer/Merchant are NOT in the EEA.
UNKNOWN	There is not enough data to determine a mandated region value; e.g. one data point is in the EEA but the other is undetermined.
