Mandated Region Values

Values are determined by using the Issuer Country plus the Acquirer Country (if available) otherwise the Merchant Country is used as a fallback. There is an additional flag enabled within the Compliance Manager application. Please consult your VCAS representative to confirm your eligibility for this feature.

For MasterCard transactions, the Merchant country fallback is used, due to availability of the Acquirer Country code.

For Visa transactions, only the Acquirer country will be used, due to availability of the Acquirer Country code.

Mandated Region data is currently unsupported by other card brands and will be set to UNKNOWN.

Value	Description
EEA	If both the issuer and Acquirer/Merchant are in the EEA.
NONE	If either the issuer or Acquirer/Merchant are NOT in the EEA.
UNKNOWN	If there is not enough data to make a decision; e.g. one data point is in EEA but the other is undetermined.
